Hi, I’m Katie!

I am the founder and owner of Shirley Eventful. My passion for event planning blossomed when I started planning my own wedding. Getting to take everything we dreamed of and turn it into reality opened my eyes to a whole new world. I shifted my focus on what I wanted to do with my future, changed my major in school, and graduated with a bachelor’s in Communication Studies with a focus in Public Relations and Event Management. When I finished my degree, I decided to continue my education earning a master’s degree in Communication Studies. After graduating, I put my passion to work and started up a small event-planning business. This business would focus on weddings and small events. With constant growth, I have been able to work with many clients to help their dreams become a reality. The smile and joy I see on their faces at the end of the day makes all the work worth it. I honestly cannot wait to see where we go from here.
